Cannabis Butter/Oil
Cannabis Butter/Oil
Ingredients:
1 tbsp butter, margarine or oil
4 cups cannabis (dried, ground, and finely sifted cannabis leaves)
1 large cast iron or thick-bottom steel pan
a large spoon
Directions:
1) On the largest element of your stove, place your pan on the lowest heat setting. This method works best with an electric stove, so if you have a natural gas stove, please be careful to stir often.
2)Melt the butter/margarine/oil and add the cannabis one cup at at time, stirring continually to make the mixture as uniform as possible. The mixture will "fluff" as the oil saturates the cannabis.
3)Continue to heat mixture, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes on an electric stove or every five minutes on a gas stove, for between 1/2 to 1 full hour.
4) At first, the mixture smells starchy and green. After cooking for a while, the molecules begin to re-form into more pleasant smelling molecules and the mixture is fluffy and smells sweet like bread. The mixture is fluffy to the touch. You'll be able to judge this transition after a few times through the recipe. Cool the mixture and store in the refrigerator or freezer. Mixture will keep longer in the freezer and is easily thawed for use. 1 teaspoon = 1 regular dose, put it in anything
